Introduction
LockZen is an iOS focus timer app developed by Corvian Labs. This Privacy Policy explains what data the app collects, where it is stored, who can access it, and what choices you have. LockZen requires no account, collects no personal information, and stores all data on your device.
Data We Collect

LockZen has no analytics SDKs, no crash reporters, and no tracking libraries. The app uses only Apple's native frameworks.
No Analytics or Tracking
LockZen does not include any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. The app is built exclusively on Apple's frameworks — SwiftUI, SwiftData, ActivityKit, WidgetKit, StoreKit 2, Charts, and UserNotifications. No usage data, crash reports, or behavioral telemetry is collected or transmitted to Corvian Labs or any third party.
Widget Data Sharing
LockZen includes a Home Screen widget that displays your current focus progress. To share this data between the main app and the widget extension, LockZen uses an App Group (group.corvianlabs.Lockzen) backed by on-device UserDefaults. This data never leaves your device — it is only accessible to the LockZen app and its widget extension running on the same device.
Live Activities
LockZen uses Apple's ActivityKit framework to display your focus timer on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island. Live Activity data (timer countdown, session state) is rendered entirely on-device. This information is ephemeral and is not transmitted to Corvian Labs or stored beyond the lifetime of an active session.
In-App Purchases
LockZen offers optional Premium subscriptions and a one-time lifetime purchase, all managed through Apple's StoreKit 2 framework. Corvian Labs does not collect, process, or store any payment information, billing details, or financial data. All purchase transactions are handled entirely by Apple in accordance with Apple's Privacy Policy. LockZen only receives a boolean signal from StoreKit confirming whether an active subscription exists.
Data Deletion and Export
- You can delete individual focus sessions at any time within the app.
- All app data is permanently deleted when you uninstall LockZen from your device.
- Premium subscribers can export their focus history via Settings → Export Data.
- No data is stored on Corvian Labs servers, so there is no additional deletion request required.
Security
All data stored by LockZen is saved locally using Apple's SwiftData framework and is protected by your device's built-in iOS encryption. No credentials or personal information are transmitted or stored by Corvian Labs.
Children's Privacy
LockZen is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided data through the app, please contact us at the address below and we will take steps to delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to check back periodically, particularly before major app updates.
